This is the second installment of a 2 part video tutorial on Using Trading Partners in JSCAPE MFT Server. In Part 1 we provided an overview of trading partners and demonstrated how to create a trading partner using JSCAPE MFT Server Manager. In this installment we will demonstrate how to use a trading partner within a trigger.

We will walk through creating a Trading Partner for use in creating Triggers. In Part 2 we will show how you can use trading partners within a trigger.

In this video we will be discussing the JMX feature of JSCAPE MFT Server. I will also show you how to set up a Java profiling application to use this feature.

JMX is basically a technology that lets you implement a management interface on a java application. When this service is enable on JSCAPE MFT Server it will allow you to more closely monitor memory and CPE usage. Once this service is enable you will need to connect to it using a java profiling application to view the statistics. In this example I will show you how to set this up with a profiler called VisualVM.

JSCAPE is pleased to announce the release of AnyClient 4.3.

This release includes several GUI and performance enhancements, the biggest of which is the addition of streaming compression support for AFTP (Accelerated File Transfer Protocol) connections.

Utilizing streaming compression users can achieve an increase in throughput of up to 800%. Other notable changes in the 4.3 release include much improved memory management and file transfer progress notifications.

Do you wish you could run reports on your JSCAPE MFT Server based on specific search results that were previously created on the Logging module? This capability can be particularly useful during audits or investigations, when you would like to get finer levels of reporting regarding your file transfers.

In this article we will discuss the creation of some security conscience notifications. We will be using Triggers to respond via email when certain events take place that an administrator may wish to know about immediately. This can be useful when you have a complex configuration on your JSCAPE MFT Server that includes many Users, Groups and Triggers.

There are a number of areas in JSCAPE MFT Server where regular expressions can be employed. The regular expressions in the DLP (Data Loss Prevention) module, for instance, play a crucial role in finding sensitive credit card numbers among data stored in your managed file transfer server. This will allow you to automate the tedious task of finding and protecting (e.g. by encryption) these sensitive data and help you comply with PCI DSS requirements.
