How to use Microsoft integrations with JSCAPE managed file transfer

Cloud storage integrations

Files contain data, and that data needs to be stored somewhere. Cloud storage is an easy way to store data so that it can be accessed by multiple users, regardless of their location. If your organization is global or remote, cloud storage is a must-have. 

JSCAPE integrates with several Microsoft cloud storage solutions without any risky manual custom scripting, including:

Microsoft Azure: This is a hybrid cloud computing platform built to support virtual computing, data storage, data analytics and more, similar to Google Cloud or AWS Cloud. It also serves as the hub for apps within the Microsoft ecosystem. Additionally, Azure stores user information and optimizes effectiveness by setting up workflows that allow employees to get to other solutions via SSO/SAML. 

Use JSCAPE and Microsoft Azure to:
  • Move files securely out from Azure to external trading partners like vendors, auditors and supply chain partners.
  • Move files into Azure for storage for future reference or reporting needs.

Microsoft Azure Blob Storage: This is an object storage solution built for the cloud as a part of Microsoft Azure. The data stored here has no structure, so any kind of data can be stored here, such as videos, binary text — even social media content. This large pool or “blob” of data is highly scalable, making it a frequently-chosen storage option for enterprise organizations. 

JSCAPE’s unique network storage integration allows cloud storage solutions like Azure Blob Storage to appear local to the user’s device as if the file storage solution was saved on their laptop. This makes finding a particular file in Azure Blob Storage much easier, as the user does not need to log into both JSCAPE and Azure Blob Storage in order to find a file and create a file transfer trigger.

Microsoft SharePoint: This is a shared file hosting service that gives users permission to create a “site” or place where other SharePoint users can get immediate access to files — all without having to manually share files. While this is a great solution for internal file sharing across an organization, SharePoint cannot reach out to engage with your external vendors or supply chain partners.

Use JSCAPE and Microsoft SharePoint to:
  • Securely move files – like invoices or purchase order acknowledgments – from inside the organization to external vendors, supply chain partners and more.

It has limited file sharing capabilities, requiring the user to manually share the file both internally and externally.

Key vault integrations

Key vaults (sometimes called credentials vaults or password vaults) are an easy, secure way for organizations to store and use ever-changing credentials without requiring users to memorize them. Microsoft Azure Key Vault: Get the right credentials every time by building an automation in JSCAPE. You can automatically retrieve credentials from Microsoft Azure Key Vault, so users never need to get credentials when accessing a secure file or environment manually. If you use other credential vaults in addition to Microsoft Azure Key Vault, you’ll be pleased to know that JSCAPE also integrates with AWS Secrets and CyberArk Password Vault.

Data integrations
